کارتریج جوهرافشان (Ink cartridge) منبع تامین رنگ در چاپگرهای جوهرافشان است. چاپگر جوهرافشان به وسیله پاشیدن قطرات ریز جوهر روی یک صفحه کاغذ از طریق منافذ ریزی که در هد وجود دارد ، باعث به وجود آوردن تصاویر سفید ، سیاه و رنگی میشود.

رنگ‌ های اصلی در چاپگرهای جوهرافشان معمولاً به سه رنگ اصلی تقسیم می‌شود : cyan (آبی) ، magenta (قرمز) و yellow (زرد) که به همراه آن‌ها یک رنگ سیاه نیز وجود دارد که برای تولید تصویر با رنگ مشکی به کار می‌رود.

The HID FARGO INK1000 printer utilizes a single ink cartridge containing YMC (Yellow,
composite black. The composite black created by the HID FARGO INK1000 can accurately
reproduce even complex characters, such as Kanji, Arabic and Cyrillic. The easy-to-install,
snap-in ink cartridge contains specially formulated inks that naturally adhere to standard,
off-the-shelf PVC and composite cards—and because inks are inherently UV-stable, images
and text exhibit fade resistance.
