این کارتخوان توانایی خواندن کارت های 125KHZ را دارا می باشد که با استفاده از درگاه ارتباطی USB بدون نیاز به نصب درایور و نرم افزار به صورت خودکار به عنوان کیبورد درسیستم شناسایی شده و برای ما شماره کارت را بر مبنای hex یا Decimal در یک فایل text ، word یا غیره ارسال می‌کند. این فرکانس ابتدایی ترین فرکانس برای برقراری ارتباط با کارت بدون تماس می باشد که شامل کارت های R/O , R/W میباشند.
